Our world is full of lies. The fake photos and videos made by AI are anti-reality and they are lies. A world oversaturated in imagery with no basis in reality is a Kafkaesque one and an ugly one too. The very concept of a fake image of a fake person in a fake place made to look like a real one is offensive. As our world drifts farther into anti-reality, we must go the other way. We must seek reality, depict reality, write about reality, and take film photos of reality. Burn an image onto a negative with the snap of the shutter. Make a small physical image of the bigger one in front of us. We must document the real world in all its beauty and sadness, all its grit and mess. We must throw ourselves face first into reality if we want to remain human in our anti-reality age.
